This oak bobbin escort is 6-1/2" long, 3/4" wide and features a durable white elastic string to hold bobbins in place while in storage or while travelling.
Several coats of a durable finish are applied to enhance and help protect the natural wood. The finish will not rub off or stain any fabric that it might come into contact with.
All bobbin escorts are simply pinned on to a bobbin lace bolster or on to a bobbin lace cookie pillow and the bobbins are slipped under the white elastic string. Bobbin escorts are usually placed on the left and right side of the pattern and depending on the number of bobbins being used there may be requirement more than two.
Our studies have shown that a bobbin escort 6-1/2" in length is sufficient to secure a reasonable number of bobbins and at the same time they are short enough to adapt to the curvature of most bolsters and cookie pillows.
