These fabric mounts will secure your ground fabrics very taut as you stitch thereby reducing the amount of distortion introduced into your ground fabrics especially when the continental or basketweave stitches are used on needlepoint canvas. For many people who enjoy doing cross stitch, needlepoint or petit point, sewing their ground fabric to twill tapes on old style low cost scroll frames can be a frustrating and laborious task. Often the twill tape will deform between the attaching staples or tacks and allow the cross stitch fabric, needlepoint canvas or petite point fabric to distort during the stitching process. Professional blocking may be required with additional costs involved prior to framing the finished cross stitch, needlepoint or petite pattern.
